40 Days for Life in Falls Church
The next 40 Days for Life campaign is September 27 - November 5, 2023, when the TFCA sidewalk prayer team will pray and offer help to abortion-vulnerable women on Tuesdays (2-3 pm) and Thursdays (9-10 am), outside the Falls Church abortion business. For those wanting to pray on the weekend, there are people from other churches to join on Saturday mornings. Contact Peggy Aderton at tfcafl@gmail.com for more details. You can also learn more at prayforlife.org.
We also gather regularly to pray between 40 Days for Life campaigns. Signs, prayer cards, and flyers on nearby pregnancy help services are provided. Please join us.
Location: Falls Church Healthcare Center, 900 S. Washington St., Falls Church. Over 1700 abortions take place at this facility each year. Park on Woodlawn or Marshall streets on the other side of Rt. 29.
40 Days for Life is the largest internationally coordinated pro-life mobilization in history, helping people in local communities end the injustice of abortion through a focused 40-day campaign of prayer, fasting, and peaceful activism, with the purpose of repentance, to seek God’s favor to turn hearts and minds from a culture of death to a culture of life, thus bringing an end to abortion.
During 40 Days for Life, we join with other churches in our area in a continual prayer vigil outside the abortion facility near our church. It is a peaceful and educational presence, sending a powerful message to the community about the tragic reality of abortion and offering practical help to those who patronize the facility.
Since 2007, 40 Days for Life has achieved significant results: 23,525 known lives saved; 251 abortion workers quit; 139 abortion centers closed.
In Northern Virginia, four abortion facilities have closed their doors since 2013.
